Oh my, oh my…. mi amore Aljur Abrenica. He is back – slowly but surely. After a BIG slump during his short-lived Machete soap, he is back with ammunition and ready to prove that he is not another pretty actor who can’t act. He is taking it in strides so far and focus on what his strength i.e. body of atlas.
I love the fact that he is humble enough to admit that he really cant act that well kung ikukumpara with his contemporaries but he never loose his sight to his goal. Nag lay low siya for a time and went back with a movie with Rhian Ramos for ‘My Kontrabida Girl’. It’s not a huge blockbuster film since mostly pakilig ang movie but his acting deserves a round of applause. It’s not that amazing pero pasado na. I just hope GMA 7 will give enough challenging roles na he will bloom. Ipahiram muna nila si Aljur sa mga indie film directors that would further enhance his craft. Of course the fill should not hurt current image to the public. I think aright script will do the trick.
What I do like about him is he never alienated his gay fans. He never let us feels that we are a mass of squealing fags who doesn’t know his right from left. He acknowledges it by simply smiling and wave at his gay legion of fans. He did not say anything offensive against us but he rather acknowledges the fact that we are a big part of his showbiz success.
