Ating i-Kubli si Johnron Tanada habang humihigop ng mainit na KAPENG BARAKO. P@K!

In the absence of Josh Ivan Morales from the gay indie film genre comes another hunk from Viva HOT Men that clearly dominates the silver screen nowadays.  Of course we all knew Johnron Tanada SOOOO well and i’m so sure na napanood mo na ang ilan sa mga films nya.  I bet you may have had ‘happy endings’ while watching his ooooh-so00-layla-uhmmmm-tempting body.

VIDEO REVIEW: Koverboyz 2009

Another run-of-the-mill gay flick which shows several situations of supposedly hunky male actors/models in quirky locations which you could held your quick tryst which stars Xander whom i previously featured under ‘Ohhh-La-La Asian Hunks’

My verdict: do not attempt to buy. Just borrow from a friend who were cursing the high heaven why did he even bought the ‘thing’.  His hard earned money were thrown out in the gutter by buying this DVD.

‘what am I thinking?’ I guess it’s the same thing that I have uttered after I finished skipping each scenes.  It would only take you one and a half minute to finish it.

im having hot flashes for MARCO DAPPER

MARCO DAPPER – former UPS driver may not have any idea as the ‘hottest men on the face of the earth’ until he landed his first acting job in the gay flick   Eating Out 2: Sloppy Seconds. Much to his surprise, he developed a huge fan base from that experience, which is apparent as he travelled the country promoting the release of the film on DVD (he appears in the cover art).  Much like local actor Marco Morales who debut on a gay film by Joel LamanganWalang Kawala (No Way Out)’

Marco confesses that he had a slight fear amongst gay men from one of his interview. “I guess you could call me a homophobe back then,”

“I was the kinda guy who if a gay guy came and talked to me I’d be like, ‘What is he doing? Is he hitting on me?’ It was fear of the unknown. This movie was like a whole 180. I just realized, ‘Not all of them are hitting on me.  Now my whole perspective is just totally changed. I’m more easy-going now. It’s the kind of thing where I think most guys like me need to go through something like that where there’s a bunch of people, a crew, and you can talk to them and hear stories and you realize…we’re not really that different. It’s an experience every guy, especially if you don’t have any homosexual friends, should go through.”

AMEN! At this point, Dapper has been featured on the cover of the magazine Men’s Health 8 times. He appeared on several TV series including Dirty Sexy Money and Veronica Mars.  He was cast as Dario Franco in the feature film Redefining Normal (2008) and were asked numerous time to pose nude for PLAYGIRL but softly rejected each proposal.

well, we may not see him pose nude for now but at least we may drool on his sexy pictures. Enjoy!

video review: imoral

Imoral tells a story between a man, his wife and his lover as they all live under one roof.  Paolo Paraiso plays a bisexual cabbie who divides his time between his wife (Katherine Luna) and his lover (Arnold Reyes).  Though the title already suggested the type of relationship each character has with one another which is deemed by society as immoral and unlawful.  The movie also includes young actor Edgar Allan Guzman and veteran actress Perla Bautista.

Written by Gerry Gracio (Santa Santita) and directed by Adolfo Alix Jr. and from the same team that brought the Indie film “Daybreak” which stars Coco Martin in the lead as provided a different formula in telling the story.

It’s like they told the story by providing a snippet of a conversation between characters.  If I were to be asked, para siyang montage of pictures that leads on gigantic billboard in Edsa.  The lines used are typical and familiar to anyone who would have watched the film.  I for one admire the simplicity of each scenes and dialogues which delivers a story that is easily digestible without shoving down on my throat.

The actor delivered well and breathes life off from their daily job description.  I was quite surprised when Edgar Allan Guzman Appears on the screen as he tries far more mature roles.  I salute thy young man as grabs his character by the balls and amazingly delivers on screen.   Though the only flaw I could think of is the bed scene between Paolo Paraiso and Arnold Reyes.  It seems Paolo were not yet comfortable on doing such scene kaya nagmukhang pilit at hilaw.   The video is highly recommended and I bet if you like indie films, you will also surely like this one.

video review:Day Break

DAY BREAK, created by Adolf Alix Jr explores the relationship between a boat man and a married man trapped in a relationship who have to both confront their own issues in an evening of revelation. According to its creator, Daybreak depicts the crossroads in that relationship. Which will William (played by Paolo Rivero) choose—his lustful needs or his marriage?

Played by indie films golden boy Coco Martin and Gawad Urian Best Actor nominee Paolo Rivero, the said film were launched in the month of February, 2008 as an alternative date movie recorded the highest grossing indie film by that time.  Its backdrop were set against the picturesque Taal Lake. The misty fog that covers the pine trees at dawn best represents the films core dilemma. The locations geographical location and its majestic ‘day break’ on a golden lake with a volcano at its center are the mian considerations of its creator as revealed in one of his interviews. “I like using nature to represent what’s going on in my character’s relationships,” he explains. “When you think of Tagaytay, you think of cool weather, so it’s definitely an important element in the story.”

the films well captured cinematography is a commendable feat as the films entirety were shot using digital camera.  its simplicity and metaphorical representation has gave the film volume in terms of visuals and telling a story by using representations and images out from the materials you could found inside the house and its environment.  applause! applause!

in my opinion, though the movie tried to break in a unique story set within 24 hours who tried to provide resolution before the end of the film, i felt the movie is quite long, boring and dragging.

i know, i know a lot of people may contest about my review pero sorry po…di talaga ako naging masaya.  i felt, medyo nasayang yung pinambili ko ng DVD (hahahahahahaha).

The creator may have some reason why he have to make the film agonizingly loooongggg and draggiiiing and its his art and no one can contest about it.

im just saying my opinion as a an audience and consumer so stop throwing rocks at me (ansakit kaya…ouch).

Though i love Coco Martin pero i barely enjoy the film.

video review: a heartwarming LOVE story in the film ‘shelter’

https://i0.wp.com/i44.photobucket.com/albums/f33/allanworld/SHELTER_1.jpg

i love to watch gay films but this movie is special…since it strums a bit of my heart strings.

SHELTER is a movie about a confused young artist torn between his family and future created by Jonah Markowitz.  The film is set in San Pedro, Los Angeles where Zach (Trevor Wright) toils his day as a cook in a diner and acts as a surogate father to his 5 year old niece Cody (Jackson Wurth). However, this young artist holds his future to help in the house after his mother died.  His irresponsible sister and Cody’s mom played by Tina Holmes often ask Zach’s supoort.

Then comes the writer Shaun (Brad Rowe) who happens to be his best friends brother came back to Los Angeles to nestle a broken heart.  The two hit it off as surfing buddies and a spark continues after a beer session.

It was nice to watch a gay film that both main characters are healthy (meaning no AIDS) and non-promiscous (im not complaining though…i always love to watch man to man action) individuals.  This film has presented another spectrum of character embedded within the gay community that no one knew has even existed.  Its romance at its finest.

i felt that i can relate to Zach’s character.  its almost as if it was tailor fitted to me.  I am currently the bread winner in our home and takes good care of my sisters family.  Dont even ask where is my sisters husband since the bastard has left my four nieces!! Though my sister is not like Tina Holmes character, she tried to help around the house by managing it.  She has never been selfish and knew my current disposition.  she knew what i have dreamed of someday and never caused any troubles in my way.  Hell, she has always been there in my worst moments. She knew for a fact that someday we have to let go of each other and try to live our own lives.  But of course, how can you let go of your own blood if she doesnt have the means to feed her children. So the inner battle between a good brother and independence is still a question i need to answer in due time.

as i watched the film, i kept on wondering if can still find my own Shaun?  the guy who would help me in all of my troubles.  Sure…Zach has the physical attibutes that any gay man can be proud of which i always dreamed of having instead of this old face im wearing everyday.

Plus it has a has great soundtrack created by Shane Mack.  honestly, i thought girl vocalist when i was first heard the song  ‘lie to me’ BUT i guess my hearing capability are quite unrealiable as well hahahahaha!  the song is profound, simple and romantic that you could sing to you boyfriend every day.  so if you havent watched the film…come on buy one today and i bet my cute ass youll love it!

here is a clip of ‘lie to me’ music video.  enjoy!:
